3.29. Corrupt file other than header error?

When I try to save or print anything in EstiMate I get a "Corrupt file other than header error" what is needed to solve this problem?

There are several things to try depending on the nature and severity of the issue:

NOTE: If on a network make sure EstiMate is closed on all machines *except* the one you are trying to troubleshoot.

Try to repair the data.

1. Press OK on the error message.
2. Click Management > Repair Maintain Data Files.
3. Click the verify and rebuild button. EstiMate will attempt to repair and maintain the database.
4. The problem should now be resolved, you can proceed as normal.

Delete leftover lock files:

NOTE: This procedure requires EstiMate to be CLOSED on all machines.

Procedure:
1. Do a find file on your computer and search for the file *.lck Make sure that the 'look in' dropdown is showing the entire C drive and not simply 'Document Folders' or 'My Computer'. If you find any files that end in *.lck highlight them and press the delete key on your computer keyboard to delete them.
2. Repeat step 1, this time look for the file pdoxusrs.net and delete it as well, if found.
3. Restart EstiMate and proceed as normal.

If the problem persists then there may be serious data corruption requiring the database indexes to be replaced. If the above instructions do not solve the problem, call EstiMate support for further instructions.
