Home → EstiMate Version 1 → Error Messages & Behavioral Problems → Error: Index does not exist?
The error means that key databases or indexes which support the database table are missing or corrupted in EstiMate's data folder.
Possible causes:
1. A new plugin was activated in the software but it did not have all the databases associated with it because it was previously inactive.
2. Network failure or computer crash.
3. Windows mishandling of data traffic.
Solution for scenario 1. Contact EstiMate Technical Support to have new indexes or databases sent to you by email.
Solution for scenarios 2,3 is to restore a recent backup if you have one. Procedure follows below:
1.On EstiMate's main screen click management>backup/restore.
2.Click the restore tab on the Backup/Restore Data files screen and then click the restore button on the upper right. An open screen will come up.
3. Find the backup file.
4. Click the open button to restore your data from the backup. NOTE: this will overwrite any data files your are currently using.
If you do not have a backup or if your backup is of sufficient age that restoring data is prohibitive then contact EstiMate technical support for alternate instructions.
