3.95. Interface Not Supported?

I am getting an interface not supported error when trying to import my customer list from QuickBooks 2002. How can I get my customer list into EstiMate?

1. Make sure that you are running EstiMate 1.91 or later and that you are using QuickBooks Pro 2002.
2. Make sure that both programs are running and that your QuickBooks company file is open. Try importing again. If the import still fails, then proceed to step 3.

3. If you have confirmed that you are running the right versions of QuickBooks and EstiMate and that you have followed the steps above. Then consider backing up your QuickBooks data and uninstalling/re-installing QuickBooks.

The interface not supported error means that QuickBooks is missing the functions needed to hand the customer list parameters to EstiMate so it can complete the requested task of importing the customer records.

Another option:

If you are unable to do the QuickBooks uninstall/reinstall process, then you may consider exporting your customer list as a simple comma or tab delimited text file.

Once you have exported your customer list from QuickBooks as a text file, it is a straightforward matter to import the customer list in EstiMate by clicking Management > Advanced Management > Import Contacts From . . . > Text File. Then follow the instructions in your EstiMate users guide or online help for options on importing your text file.
