5.5. Bulletin: Vendormate hangs when trying to update.

After opening Vendormate and clicking the button to download catalogs Vendormate presents a prompt saying that it must be upgraded. After pressing yes on the prompt it appears to be updating but never completes the process.

Some installations of Vendormate "hang" or do not complete the internal update process.

The solution is straighforward:
1. Close Vendormate.
2. Go to the website and download Vendormate directly. Currently the link is http://www.estimatesoftware.com/estimate/vendormate/download_vm.php
3. After the download is complete, double-click on the VMSetup icon to upgrade Vendormate.
4. Restart Vendormate and proceed as normal.

Q & A
I subscribed previously to Vendormate. Will I need a new subscription key after upgrading?
Answer: No.
Will uninstalling and reinstalling vendormate help?
Answer: It is unlikely that uninstalling/re-installing will help. It is recommended that you use the above method for best results.
I haven't subscribed to Vendormate yet I am just investigating it, how will doing the above process affect me?
Answer: It will allow you to continue to explore Vendormate, including download of vendor catalogs, and selection of items. You will not be able to import the items into EstiMate, however until you subscribe.
