The best working procedure with EstiMate is to close it down after each use and reopen it when needed again. Period.
If you simply *must* leave it idle for long periods of time then consider adjusting your computers hibernation or sleep settings so it does not hibernate, sleep or powersave. EstiMate needs to have an active connection to its databases at all times while it is open. If the connection is severed EstiMate may lockup or produce errors and must be shut down.
