1.33. What about artwork complexity on repeat orders?
When doing a repeat job for a customer, shouldn?t the artwork complexity be set to 0, especially if the artwork is very complex? I understand that computer design time has to recouped, but shouldn?t it be a one time charge and on a separate line rather than included in print cost? Including design time in the price of the decals is okay on one-time orders, but it throws off the cost per print when figuring out reorders.
It is advised to avoid design time altogether and simply handle repeat orders using the 'Other' line item and specifying a flat rate for the job, hence you will be charging for producing the repeat order only.
