Home → EstiMate Version 1 → How Do I... → How do I price vehicle graphics in EstiMate?
NOTE: This article assumes you will be placing *vinyl* on the vehicle. If applying digital graphics, use the wide format plugin and modify the directions below accordingly.
If you want to bill the installation of the graphics on the vehicle separately. Use the repeat labor plugin for this.
The example here will be for truck doors, although you can apply these principles to any size of vehicle panel.
1. From the substrate list, select [Customer Supplied].
2. Enter a quantity of 2, with a size of 30x40 (approx. size of truck doors; remember, with EstiMate?, you don?t need the exact information to come up with the price).
3. From the first list of vinyls, select Premium Vinyl. Set the coverage on this to 90-95%, depending on the size of the graphics you will be applying. This covers the vinyl necessary for this job.
4. Now go over to the artwork complexity slider and adjust it until the design time (you will find this just above the ?Calculate Total? button) reflects approximately 30 minutes, to make sure you get paid for your time to design the sign.
5. Now look carefully at the production time, which you?ll find just under the design time. If necessary (although in this case it?s probably right on), adjust the general difficulty level slider upward until the production time looks right to you. Rivets, contours, etc. will affect the positioning of this slider.
That?s it! Double-click on the subtotal to see the hard numbers and you can immediately see your profits & expenses.
