4.197. How do I try different overhead worksheet settings and still be able to revert to the original numbers?

We'd like to do a little experimenting with our overhead analysis, but we
don't want to lose the figures we have. Is there a way to save the
database, play around with the numbers, and then go back to the original?

There are 3 ways to experiment with the OH worksheet.

1. Download profit watch. http://www.estimatesoftware.com/estimate/download/download_profit_watch.php a free program that helps you assess your hourly rate. You can play with figures here and it wont affect EstiMate.

2. Backup your data. Experiment. Restore data.
Note: On this step it is important to remember not to do any estimation while experimenting because if you have to restore the data will be overriten by the backed up data.

3. Backup data. Experiment. Press the cancel button on the OH worksheet if results are not satisfactory.

The best solution is profitwatch, however other alternatives are presented for your convenience.
